Maria Månsson shares her inspiring journey at BorgWarner, from hands-on innovation to leadership. Discover how she began her career in Vehicle Dynamics & Simulations, crafting control software to enhance vehicle performance and feel, and the thrill of seeing her code come to life in real-world car tests. Learn about her transition to her current role as a Software Development Lead, where she navigates the joys and challenges of guiding a team to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Maria, a chemical (process design) engineer, transitioned into the automotive industry in 2020. Initially, the move from working with heat exchangers and thermodynamics to automotive seemed like a significant leap. However, she was pleasantly surprised by how quickly she adapted and how much her previous experience proved valuable. This strong foundation allowed Maria to focus on the many new and exciting things the field had to offer—a journey of learning that continues to this day.
