The season's first Pink AW in Stockholm and with no other than our new partner ELECTRONIC ARTS. Ever wondered about a career within gaming and how to get started? Well wonder no more!

Join us for an engaging discussion featuring three developers from DICE and SEED who will share their personal career journeys leading up to their current positions at Electronic Arts.

Each of them has navigated their own unique career paths, coming from a variety of backgrounds to reach their current roles. Hear them share their experiences and get tips and tricks they picked up that have helped them along the way. Our panelists include Emelie Fuller - UI Software Engineer at DICE, Iris Kotsinas - Software Engineer at DICE, and Mónica Villanueva Aylagas - Research Engineer at SEED.

You will be able to ask questions to learn more about being a tech developer within the games industry, and how you can start your career within this creative industry. Come and let’s enjoy an evening filled with inspiring conversations and yummy snacks and drinks. Let’s mingle!🌟

Meet the panelists

Emelie Fuller
UI Software Engineer - DICE

Emelie started her career in the games industry at The Outsider as a UI Programmer, working on Project Wight between 2017 and 2019. Prior to that she studied Computer Games Development - Construction program at Stockholm Universitet. In 2019 Emelie joined DICE as a UI Software Engineer, working on titles such as Battlefield V and Battlefield 2042 with a focus on in-game Social Features and Core UI tech. She did a quick sprint at Funcom between 2022-2023, working as Sr UI Programmer on titles such as Metal Hellsinger and Dune Awakening. Coming back to DICE in 2023 as a UI Software Engineer and Tech Lead on Battlefield 2042 Core Gameplay Team.

Fun facts: As a four year old Emelie learned how to count binary using her fingers. Her favorite game is Counter Strike, both playing it with my friends and following the E-sport tournaments (Go Faze!).

Iris Kotsinas
Software Engineer - DICE

Iris graduated with a Master of Science in Media Technology and Engineering - Specialization in Computer Graphics and Game Programming from Linköping University. During her studies, she gained experience in software development working at Axis Communications and Upsales as a full-stack engineer, and as part-time consultant at We Know IT.She started at DICE in 2022 with her Master Thesis on “Dynamic Real-time Fire Propagation in Networked Multiplayer Games”, then leading to full time employment as Software Engineer on the game team. Her focus at DICE are in areas of Core Gameplay features under vehicles, weapons, and soldiers - and now later soldier journey.

Fun fact: Outside of work, Iris loves to stay active and enjoys crossfit, running, horseback riding, and playing lacrosse in her spare time.

Mónica Villanueva Aylagas
Research Engineer - SEED

Mónica studied a Bachelor’s in Computer Science Engineering at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Autonomous University of Madrid) and a degree in music in the specialty of violin at Conservatorio Profesional de Música Arturo Soria (Professional Conservatory of Music Arturo Soria), leading to a role as Data Scientist for a Spanish consultant agency.In 2016 Mónica moved to Stockholm to pursue a Master in Machine Learning at KTH, graduating in 2018 Mónica joined the research team SEED at Electronic Arts as a Research Engineer.Working in the intersection of cutting edge technology and art, Mónica's focus and interest is in generative models and how they can help creative people unlock their potential.

Fun facts: Even though Mónica pursued her professional career through the tech branch, she continues to play the violin - currently at KTH Academic Orchestra.
