Build a Chatbot Webapp!

Curious about how chat apps like ChatGPT are built and ready to get your hands dirty with real code? This hands-on workshop is perfect for you!

At this Pink Sunday we’ll work with a simple Flask web app that talks to the OpenAI API, but it's not quite working yet...

The Neo4j team will guide you step by step as you connect the missing pieces, see how data can be stored and connected in a visual, intuitive way, and make a broken system work end to end. Exactly the kind of practical problem-solving skills used in real-world projects - up for the challenge?

Come learn, experiment, and discover how AI apps work under the hood - together with curious peers and experts who love to teach!

      Inspirational Session & Coding Workshop

From Bromölla to Neo4j: An unexpected journey

Session by: Linnéa De Llano Balcells

Linnéa will share her life story, from growing up in the small village of Bromölla—where she lived very much in the present, without clear plans for the future—to becoming part of the world’s leading graph database company, Neo4j. She was never particularly interested in computers and could not imagine herself working in tech. That changed when she took a mandatory programming course and discovered that programming is not only logical, but also fun.

      _

Linnéa works in the Cypher Composite team at Neo4j. With almost six years at the company, she has contributed across multiple Cypher teams. Outside work, she enjoys board games and is always up for a cup of coffee or a beer.

      Build a Chatbot Webapp!

Workshop by: Gem Lamont & Katja Bregenzer

The Neo4j team has built a Flask web app that can chat with the OpenAI API and store users and conversations in a Neo4j graph database - but it’s not quite working yet? The missing piece is the Cypher queries that create, connect, and retrieve all that data. Write those, and the app springs to life. Ready to take on the challenge?

      __

Gem has been working at Neo4j for nearly 4 years and is the team lead of the Cypher Surface team.
She enjoys being able to influence how the Cypher language evolves and see those changes used by Neo4j’s users!

Katja joined the Aura Console team last summer. She’s excited to contribute to a continuously improved user experience through Aura.
