      Intro to Git!

      GIT is the most widely used Version Control System in the tech world today. Most programmers have or will have to work with it at some point in their career, and understanding even the basics of GIT is a requirement for many programming jobs today. Whether you’ve never worked with GIT before, or have used it just a little but are still struggling to understand what’s going on, this workshop will cover the basics and help you develop a solid base of knowledge in GIT. You’ll create your own repo, learn basic git flows and common terms, and get started with github. No matter what area or language you code in, understanding GIT is an essential tool in your professional toolbox.

      Kristyn is currently a C++ developer working at SEB. She's been a developer for 10 years, getting into the field after studying math. She's worked in various fields, including sports and mobile forensics. Originally from the states, she's been in Sweden for 6 years now and is very passionate about getting more women into programming, mostly because it'll make the industry better, but also because she's sick of being the only woman at the office.
