Harness the Power of Electronics

What if one line of code could change the world — intentionally or not? Hear the story of a developer who abolished passwords for the whole world. And join us as we explore the world of hardware by tinkering with microcontrollers—turning sensors, LEDs, and buttons into fun and functional creations!

In today’s hyper-connected IT landscape, even the smallest mistake can spiral into global chaos. This past July, a single point of failure exposed the delicate balance of trust and precision that underpins our systems. This thought-provoking story will challenge the way you view technology’s power, its risks, and the role we all play in shaping a secure, ethical future.

After the talk, make sure to roll up your sleeves and experience the joy of creating with technology! In this workshop, you’ll learn to program microcontrollers using CircuitPython. Build fun, simple projects to control sensors, buttons, speakers, and LEDs, all on a device that fits in the palm of your hand - Adafruit's Circuit Playground Express. Let's dive into the exciting world of microcontrollers and discover how the devices around you come to life.

This is more than just a day to learn—it’s a day to connect, create, and reimagine your relationship with technology. Come curious, leave inspired, and take your first step toward making a meaningful impact in the world of tech!

    Inspirational Session & Coding Workshop

    Single Point of Failure

    Session by: Rosa Abrahamsson

In an increasingly interconnected IT world, a single fault can ripple across the globe and cause widespread disruptions. In July this year, we had the most recent such disaster, caused as usual by just one single point of failure. We are left pondering the future, and the risk of any small coding mistake resulting in an even greater outage. Not to mention... when it's not a mistake. This is the story about the day when a developer abolished passwords for the whole world.
