            Catalina Villanlong is a Software developer by day and a sea captain by season. From YouTube tutorials to graduating with honors, Catalina’s crafted her path in software development, all while running her own business. Nearly four years later, she is still coding away, proving that passion and persistence can take you far in the tech world. A fun fact about Catalina is that her puurr-fect sailing partner is her cat Mali , that loves navigating the Stockholm lakes with her.


            Gabriela Moraes is a seasoned Backend Developer with a strong passion for social causes, particularly gender equality and women's rights. Over the past 6 years, she has dedicated her skills to crafting user-centric digital experiences for non-profit organizations focused on diversity and inclusion. Alongside her technical expertise, Gabriela has delved into HR, leading hiring processes for renowned companies like Spotify and The North Alliance. Her unique blend of technology and HR insights equips her to tackle challenges holistically, contributing positively to initiatives like Pyladies Stockholm.

If you've ever wondered "Why C++?", or if you already know but have no idea where to start, this workshop will address both! The session will include some practical information on how C++ is different from other major languages of today and the benefits of choosing it for a project. It will also include writing some beginner level code showcasing "templates", one of C++'s very useful features. Don't miss out - see you there!

              Kristyn Galane
              is currently a C++ developer working at SEB. She's been a developer for 10 years, getting into the field after studying math. She's worked in various fields, including sports and mobile forensics. Originally from the states, she's been in Sweden for 6 years now and is very passionate about getting more women into programming, mostly because it'll make the industry better, but also because she's sick of being the only woman at the office.
