Pixel & Python Winter Camp

Get ready for a Pink Programming Winter Camp in game development! This year, we’re diving into the world of game development, where you’ll have the chance to design and develop your own interactive games using Python - surrounded by the cozy wintry feeling of Järvsö!

It will be an unforgettable experience with the fresh mountain air and snowy landscapes while bringing your creative ideas to life with our support. Whether you’re a game enthusiast or an experienced coder, this camp is designed for anyone who is interested in learning and creating (see prerequisites below). By the end, you’ll have a game to call your own and the skills to keep building!

Through engaging & hands-on workshops, you can expect to learn about:

  • Game design fundamentals.
  • Creating your own projects with tools like PyGame, Gym, and LLMs (ChatGPT) by using python as the main programming language.
  • How AI can be used to power games, by giving a unique edge in game development
  •  Explore everything from core game mechanics to coding your own platforms.
But it’s not all about coding! When we’re not immersed in game development, we’ll be exploring the winter wonderland with activities like snowshoeing & skating. This is an opportunity to meet others with similar interests and learn together. A perfect blend of learning, adventure, and community-building, forming lasting friendships with other women and non-binaries in tech.

Mark your calendar, January 15th-19th and secure your spot! Embrace the magic of winter, unleash your inner game developer, and create memories that will last a lifetime. Game on 🎮
