Pink Programming  Cyber Security Camp

Join us for a 5 day programming camp where we will explore the world of cyber security and its place in our digitalized society!

In today's digital society, cyber security is a crucial part of protecting sensitive information and ensuring the integrity of systems and networks. With cyber threats evolving in complexity and frequency, understanding both offensive and defensive strategies is a key. The three main focus areas will take you from knowledge to attack and later prevention in order to make sure you have a solid foundation in cyber security. We will learn about offensive and defensive strategies, along with in-depth analysis of vulnerabilities. Our focus will include front-end security, cloud security, and networking basics, providing a comprehensive overview of key cybersecurity domains.

What is a Pink Programming camp?
We won’t only cover cyber security - a big part of any Pink Programming camp is to get to know other women and non-binary people in the field and to have fun together! We will cook meals together, go on trips and hikes, play games and more. Joining a Pink Programming camp is a great way to expand your knowledge and to connect with others, while enjoying nature and the peaceful countryside of Skåne. You will get opportunities to learn from and ask any questions to the knowledgeable teachers while also learning from each other. And then you will of course have a bunch of fun!

All you need to know

When? August  18th-22th

Where? In a cozy place close to Hjärnarp, Skåne

Who is this camp for? We welcome all women-identified and non-binary people!

This is an intermediate camp. It is perfect for you who have some prior experience with programming in any programming language - maybe you already did a beginners course or built your first hobby project, or maybe you are working as a junior developer?

Pre-requisites:

  • Experience in any programming language. The topics discussed in this camp are mostly programming language agnostic, but they assume that you understand for example: a random code snippet; what an executable looks like; what an HTTP status means, etc. It’s good to have experience building even tiny hobby projects, just to have “the bigger picture” understanding of programming.
  • You will have to bring your own computer

How much does it cost?

  • Regular ticket : 5000 SEK
  • Student/unemployed ticket: 4000 SEK
  • Company ticket: 10 000 SEK

What is included when buying a ticket?

  • Shared accommodation in our house in Hjärnarp, surrounded by nature and a lake. We want to give an extra notice that you will share room with other participants. Might happen that some also will share a double bed.
  • All meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) which we will cook together at the house.
  • An intensive course in Cyber Security. After the camp you are able to continue to evolve on your own, and above all, we hope you've had a lot of fun.
  • You will also get a certificate after finished course that you can add to your CV and Linkedin.

What is not included in the ticket price?

    • Travel costs
    • Bed linen and towels, please bring your own.
    • Computer, please bring your own. All instructions for (free) programs needed will be sent in advance.
    • Insurance (please check with you insurance company and make sure that you are covered).

What language will the course be in?
The classes will be held in English, but we'll be able to explain and help out in Swedish as well.
