Code & Connect:
AI & The Cloud

Join us for another free Pink Sunday in Gothenburg!

Spend the afternoon expanding your tech skills, exploring modern developer tools, and connecting with fellow women and non-binary programmers over fika - including two brilliant Pink Speakers!

In this edition, we'll dive into two practical sessions, led by:

  • Session 1: Ariadna Villar Egea, Software Engineer at Volvo Cars - on how to harness AI as a learning and debugging partner while standing out in today's tech job market.
  • Session 2: Akshata Mongha, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at eTraveli - a hands-on, beginner-friendly introduction to shipping your code from your laptop into the cloud.

This is your chance to learn directly from two skilled women already working in tech - ask questions, get their take on your own path, and walk away with a real connection.

Session 1: AI Writes Code. You Bring the Rest.

Session by: Ariadna Villar Egea, Software Engineer

The developer job market can feel discouraging right now, with fewer entry-level postings.

This talk is about staying motivated and using AI as a tutor, debugging partner, and code reviewer, while recognising what only you bring to a team. Leave with practical tips and an open Q&A.

Ariadna Villar Egea is a Software Engineer at Volvo Cars.  Ariadna's path into tech started with a business degree in Barcelona. After moving to Stockholm and working in online marketing, she retrained as a frontend developer through internships and the Salt bootcamp - where mob programming made her full-stack. She's now a Software Engineer at Volvo Cars in Gothenburg, working on the site where people choose their next car, and loves helping others navigate a career change like she did.

Session 2: What Happens After You Write the Code?

Session by: Akshata Mongha, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

You've written your application, and it works on your laptop — but what happens next?

In this hands-on workshop, we'll follow an app's journey from laptop to cloud: why containers exist, how deployments work, and what happens when real users show up. Using the browser-based Killercoda environment, you'll experiment with real cloud-native tools — including Kubernetes, no prior experience needed — and build up your application through small, practical challenges.

Language: Basic Python
Cloud-native: Docker + Kubernetes
Environment: Killercoda
Level: Beginner
Prerequisites: None required - basic programming or command-line familiarity is a bonus.
Preparations: A laptop, modern browser and internet connection. No installs, no cloud account needed.
