Next.js from the beginning!
Next.js is everywhere in modern web development - but it’s often explained in a way that makes it feel way more complicated than it actually is. In this workshop, we take it back to basics and introduce Next.js from the ground up, even if you’ve never heard of it before!
Next.js is a web framework built on top of React that helps you create full websites more easily. If React is the tool you use to build user interfaces, Next.js adds the missing pieces you need to turn those interfaces into a complete, fast, and well-structured website.
Through a small, hands-on example, we’ll explore file-based routing, the difference between server-side and client-side rendering, and why performance and SEO come up so often in Next.js conversations.
The goal isn’t to build a big app - it’s to leave with a clear mental model of Next.js, a solid first experience, and the confidence to keep exploring on your own.
Come learn with peers in a relaxed, beginner-friendly space - and ask all the questions!
